Come kick off Caltech men's and women's basketball with food, games, and prizes at the second annual Midnight Madness event tonight at 10 p.m. in Braun Gym. At midnight, the men's basketball team will take the court in celebration of the first official day of basketball practice this season.
Caltech Dining Services will offer barbecued pulled chicken and other goodies, and the pep band will play. Everyone's encouraged to participate in games, which will include a free-throw contest, dribble relay, musical chairs, and of course, the half-court shot. Winners will receive prizes like gift cards and Caltech gear. There will also be a raffle offering a new prize every five minutes. And, for $2, you can try your luck in the 50-50 raffle, in which the winner gets half of the pot. The undergrad house with the most representation will also win a prize.
In addition to the basketball teams, Caltech fall athletics programs will also be recognized.
