Caltech Marks the Dedication of the Grant D. Venerable House

The undergraduate student residence was named in fall 2021 in honor of the late alumnus, who was the first Black undergraduate student to graduate from Caltech, as well as an active student leader and athlete during his time on campus.

Rose Bowl history and Caltech football history connect. The first Rose Bowl games were played on what became Caltech's athletic fields. Later, the Rose Bowl stadium was the site of many Beaver games and two legendary Caltech pranks.
